I would like to put a clutch fan on my 68 SS396, what would the proper (or at least close) clutch fan be? I looked at several 68-69 with 396, including some that were "Stock" and seen 3-4 different fans.

If you can find somebody who has a copy of the assembly manual for your year; it will list the part numbers for the fan clutches. Then you might be able to do a search until you find a cross reference. Hayden co. makes lots of clutches.

I just bought a stock thermal clutch from Autozone for my BBC, works great.

I would just reuse your old fan, and buy the clutch for it.
