i'm upgrading my 8.5" 10-bolt with 4.56 gears and a powertrax no-slip.i don't want to go the c-clip eliminator route because i wanna play on the street a little and want to keep my factory axles.i realize these stock axles are probably gonna go fubar eventually but i'll run'em till they do.i would like to put fresh c-clips in when i do the upgrade,so do i go with factory GM replacements or does someone offer aftermarket pieces that are better and stronger? i have heard the c-clip eliminators are prone to leakage if driven on the street often.can i get eliminators that will fit my factory axles if i decide to? i'm just weighing the alternatives.thanks.

I've never seen the c clips break, only the axles. You could buy some Strange axles that'll go right in using the stock c clip setup.
