I am trying to find out where I can buy 3" pre-bent header pipes to go from my header collectors to my mufflers. I can find straight pipe but cannot find the pre-bent that angle into the tranny tunnel? This is for a 68 BBC Chevelle.

I've already looked at that and was ready to order until someone talked me out of the X because it quieted it down too much. So I am considering straight pipe to Dynomax Ultra Flows and then dumping it. Would the X pipe to the muffs and dumped still be loud?

Let's put it this way, I have the 2 1/2 " Mandrel bent exhaust and Flowmaster 3 chambered 50 series mufflers and its still pretty loud. If your looking for a litle louder I would go with the 40 series 2 chambered mufflers. I've been complimented how nice and healthy mine sounds.

Joe, There is no reason to need your downpipes to angle into the driveshaft tunnel. A body cars have plenty of clearance. Most X universal X pipes can be easily modified to fit your application.

The X will take the rough edges off of the tone of your system but with your combination, you will still be noticed! smile.gif . if you still want to make a statement pulling into a parking lot, just choose a more aggressive muffler.
