Ok I got my 4" Cowl Hood for the elky on Friday and got it fitted in pretty good. With some minor modifications to the car. BUT now I can't use my windshield wipers b\c of clearance issues. I had to take them off. Any body else ran into this prob. if so how'd u go about fixing it. FYI it's a Harwood. thanks,
Did I mention I have my FUNCTIONAL Cowl Hood for sale? Let me know if your interested!!!!!

I had to trim the lip off the back of my Harwood hood so the wipers would work. What year is yours?

Yea, you will most likely have to trim the 3/4" or whatever it is on the back of the hood. I'm interested in how you are going to mount that hood, with pins or whatever else. if you could either port some pics of let me know i'd appreciate it... graemlins/beers.gif

It's a bolt on hood so the way it's mounted is it's bolted to the hinges. (not trying to be sarcastic). but how can you trim off 3/4" off the back? Have trouble seeing that happen. thanks,
Dustin

On the vertical lip on the back of the hood, facing windshield, I took a 4" grinder wheel and took most of it off, then cleaned it up with a dremel tool. I just kept removing the lip til the wiper moved freely. There is about 1/8" of that vertical lip left over the wiper if that and more where I didnt need to trim.
