I am not happy with my suspension on my 67 BB. I have changed all the bushings to poly stuff and added a stabilizer to the rear. It seems stiff to me, but I get too much body roll in my IMHO. The car has the original springs. How do you know when your springs are worn out? The car remains the same height. The cars has new KYG shocks.

If you have original springs they are wore out.
If you would like to call me at tech 662-233-2301 I will discuss your needs with you.

change the 40+ year old springs and ad the edelbrock adjustable upper control arms. it will make a world of difference. tom

Yes the springs are probably worn out. I hate to say it because you`ve already done it but the poly bushings are probably another cause for the stiff ride. They have a tendency to add non linear binding to the suspension through sticktion especially once the original application of grease is displaced or washed away. The KYB shocks are also a big part of the problem. Typically stock style shocks ride good but handle poorly. Racing shocks usually ride hard but handle good. KYBs are the only shocks I`ve ever used that have such a unique combination of poor ride AND poor handling. Replace them with Bilsteins,Konis or at least Edelbrock IAS shocks and you`ll be shocked at how much better the ride is.
The body roll is being caused by A) the very poor stock geometry and it`s super low roll center/super long front moment arm and B) by the worn springs and KYB shocks. You can kill two birds with one stoen by using a set of good performance touring springs such as SPC Performance,Hotchkis or Eibach etc. They`ll lower the car slightly too which also help improve the geometry a little. If you don`t want it lowered you can use aluminum spring seats to put it back at stock height but still benefit from the increased rate and performance. Combine them with a good set of shocks and the ride will be better than new and body roll will be reduced.
If you want to go a little further you can tweak the geometry with the proper application of tall ball joints and possibly front upper arms. That would also open the door to much improved alignment specs and even better performance and drivability. Mark SC&C
