I just bought a 454, TH400 and Ford 9" for it. The next step is getting the 350 out of there, and getting the frame seperated from the car.

Man, all my money goes to tools and parts, and you're bustin' my choppies! The only guy who posts to this link, and he doesn't say a word about the car, combo, etc. :D

Damn right Sean! Busch - it's the one beer to buy when you have to buy more than one! My Grandfather bought me my first case of that stuff when I was 13. We went fishing (thank God) not racing. He bought me my first case of Bud when I was 12 - I didn't know the difference! graemlins/beers.gif BTW, tell Andy to stay away from your tin of Skoal too! Anyway, it looks like you got a project on your hands. It looks like it's been without a hood, fenderwells and a lot of other things for a while. Keep us abreast of your progress! Love to hear about someone else's problems (j/k) graemlins/thumbsup.gif Kirk

It was a complete car when I bought it two years ago, but I picked it up off the coast. The bodies straight, but the frame and suspension has to be sandblasted to get the rust out of the pitting that happened over the years. I'm just going to rattle-bomb it Rustoleum satin black. It'll look good.

If you are interested in letting the A/C components go, my nephew can use them for his 81 wagon. That will make a great project car. I have an 86 Monte Carlo SS that I have restored to orignal except for the 350 engine. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I have all the a/c components together. The one thing I did have to do was cut the hoses, but they are replacable. I have a complete box, and the compressor if he's interested. Let me know.

..make sure you get $500 for the old motor/trans ;) (thats what I'd get for it if it runs :D )

The motor'll be backed by a TH400 I'm having prepped by the same guy that did the TH350 in my '71 malibu. He builds lots of drag and circle track trannies for guys out of california. That's going to have to wait a while, though. I'm not going to run a transbrake, just a Moroso line lock I've got.

I got $200 for the 350 (minus the GM alum intake
and I'm keeping the TH350...Never hurts to have a spare around.

Going to pick up the 454 on Tuesday, up in Portland, OR. It'll be a 4.5 hour drive for me. Shipping would have been $250. I'll report back what I find on Wednesday evening... graemlins/thumbsup.gif
