I solved my wheel hop problem by replacing my air shocks with adjustable drag shocks and adjustable uppers. However, I don't like the stance now. I want to lift the rear without bringing back the wheel hop. Will air bags lift the rear without affecting traction? Thanks.

Are you talking about Air Ride Technology air springs or the Air Lift air bags that go inside the coil springs?
If you're interested in the Air Lift bags, they will lift the rear but you can also adjust the air pressure to aid traction when you're at the drags.

Yea, I was thinking about the air-lift inside the springs. I was wondering how much lift you can get and how much does it stiffen up the ride. In other words are they stiff like air shocks?

My El Camino has the Air Lift bags. Just a few extra pounds will make the ride harsh. I am running mine at 8 psi and it is not to bad, 12 psi was to harsh and 4 psi was a nice ride but to low.

The Air Lift bags don't give a lot of lift, maybe 1-2 inches at most, but they will help with traction (provided you adjust the pressure for the purpose) and bottoming out.

I had Air Lift bags in my springs. Very stiff ride. I wouldn't run them on a street car, IMO.
