Hi all. I`m a newbe to Team Chevelle. I`ve owned a 67 Malibu since 84 and have only begun working on it since 05. I`m replacing all 4 springs and shocks and plan on re-doing all the bushings with polygraphite and since I`m this far, I figured I`d do the conversion. I only use the car on sunny days and do not plan on finding out who or what it can beat! I want to have the comfortable feeling of knowing that if either myself or my girlfriend are driving somewhere, it will stop! Which kit will do that for me? I`ve been pulling my hair out looking on Ebay and searching the Chevy mags for a decisive kit and I`d much rather hear it from the guys that have been there, tried that, found out. I do plan on posting everything I`m doing on these pages to help other`s out as well. I do have some pics of my car that I`d love to share but not sure how to do that so that may be another question that needs to be addressed. My name is Keith Johnson and my phone number is 607-331-6606 if anyone has info or wants to talk about velle`s. Thanks to all that respond.

Master Power Brakes has a kit that is hard to beat both in price and parts that fit. Welcome aboard!!!!

It sounds like an OEM-style kit will work just fine for you. There are many different kits out there, and I bought mine from an eBay seller. His handle was Whitemanford back then, but I believe this is the same guy: 60to0brakesystems (http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/60to0brakesystems)
I'm very happy with what I got for the money, and you can read my review here (http://www.chevelles.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=122&cat=21).

For your application skip the poly graphite. Do a search and you`ll find a lot of posts on the subject. They`re not a performance modification. OE style rubber will serve you very well and do so for many years to come. If you want it to handle and drive better spend the money on a good set of shocks (Bilstein or Koni etc.) instead.
OE style brakes will work fine for you too. Just don`t be taken in by the lowest price. Most of not all of the cheaper systems (and many of the expensive ones too!) are ChiCom parts that are NOT built to OE specs or quality. We`ve seen ones with bolt holes stripped out right out of the box, twisted caliper brackets, bolts that snapped off with a 3/8" ratchet and one hand, mismatched master cylinders etc. etc. Scary stuff! Ask a lot of questions and make sure you get good quality parts. Mark SC&C

I've been wanting to upgrade my 67 to front disks for a while now, but will my current 14" rally wheels still work, or do I also need to track down some 15" wheels?
We need one of the sponsors to do a 'group buy' on the disk conversion kits
