My 327 thermostat housing has the temp sensor unit in it and points to the drivers side, anyone ever see one that points the rad hose to the passenger side?

I've seen many that way when they were changed to cross-flow radiator, except for the housing having the temp. sensor in it. I believe from the factory the V-8 models had necks that pointed towards the pass. side without the temp. sensor, except for any that were modified by the dealer or were special ordered, like the cars with the aluminum intake. Usually the temp. sensor was in the intake to the right of the thermostat. I'm sure others will know more about this subject, like Rich L-79. 64elkynss

Les....I just looked at two years worth of reference photos I have and ALL the 64's I have photos of point to the passenger side with the temp sensor in the intake manifold. Mine is that way.

Is the inlet on your radiator on the driver side? What about the fill cap location?

Danny, I sent you an email with engine pictures. Go to http://s277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/lfsav/ for one of the pictures of the engine area.
