Hello Great site Guy's..... I currently have a 1966 Malibu that My Dad and I are in the middle of restoring. I've allways dreamed about have a 66SS396 but could never aford to buy one. So My dad and I found this 66 Malibu that we are going to clone. My Mom and my Wife both think my Dad and I are waisting our time and Money, and don't think we can do this.
We can't wait to prove them WRONG.
We've had this Car for alittle over a year now and really to us we've come along long way. Last fall we had the body meda-blasted to see what we have to work with. Then over the winter we bought all the body panels that we need to repair the body. Two weeks ago we removed the rusty body from the frame. We are starting with the frame first. It's in my Garage stripped all the way down to just the frame. It is ready for the Sand blaster. Then we are going to do some repairs that are need to it and beef it up a alittle.
I've been doing some research on the restoration and I stumbled across this site. So far I like what I see here. I look forward to learning lot's from you all.
