I was told that I could talk the posts off my doors and install them on a new door shell hard top dose anyone know if this is true

I don't think so, not 100% sure though.
The door mechanisms are different and the handles are in different locations.

I have removed the window frames off of a El Camino door assembly and re-welded them to new door shells before.

But I cant tell you if the hard top doors are the same as post doors - probably could redo the skins easy enough though.

Then you wouldn't need to mess with the window frames --- Just a thought
