I need to install a few new brake clips along the frame on my 67, and I don't know how to install them. They are not rivits, but have a solid pin in the middle with the inside portion scored with an X -- as though you would try to "split" the pin from the inside of the frame, similar to a drywall anchor, to get it to stick. Anyone have some thoughts on this?

You might try looking on line with companies like Inline Tube, Classic Tube, or RightStuff Detailing in their hardware section. You might be able to identify the parts and how they should install that you need simply by looking.
I used Inline Tube and simply asked them for a clip and hardware kit when I called, but they (and I believe all of them) sell individual clips.

I am also restoring my brake and fuel line clips. Mine are still usable but rusty. I can clean them up and use them again. Does anybody know the original color of the clip on a 67? I think it is red but I am not sure.

My original clips actually looked green. The new resto clips I ordered were red.
