: Headers for a 67 bbc?

I bought some flowtech cermic coated headers for my 67 bb and the passenger side front tube hits the frame. Anybody else use these headers or know of a different brand that actually fits well?

Not unusual for them or any other brand. My Hedman Elite's fit like a glove I still had to clearance the lower control arm bracket a tad. I have about 1/8th in clrnc. I also had to loosen the motor mounts (long bolts) and shift (twist) the engine about that much to get the clrnc back when I R&R'd the engine recently. Most of the time you need to also dent the tube a little. Normal process.

Yes, clearancing headers is a normal thing to expect regardless of brand.
A BBC in the early Chevelle is a tight fit header-wise. My own SS Hookers hit the frame in a couple of spots, and I had to clearance the driver's side to work around the steering shaft.
Also even with a clockable mini-starter I still had to clearance the starter body a little to avoid direct contact with a pass side primary tube.

My Hooker 2217s actually included instructions on how to 1: trim the motor mount for header clearance and 2: how to correctly "bap" header primary tubing for clearance problems in other areas.

Just part of the show.

I used the same headers on my '67. Same place as you are talking about on the passenger side. Not too bad. Put them in place and mark it with a marker. Pull it out and ding it. Try again and again until they clear. We did a little at a time so the "ding" didn't have to be any bigger than necessary and not really visible now.
Good luck. At least the drivers side cleared well. These headers do sit pretty horizontally level and up close to the floor pan.

It's disconcerting to take a hammer to a brand new pair of headers but it's normal unfortunately.

If they would just move that one pipe over 1/4 in.......
