Thanks

"Spal" makes a universal power window kit that will work on your car.

There are several companies making them, including Nu Relics and Specialty Power Windows, that are direct bolt in and life time guarantee. I have seen them in person and they look to be top quality and have a lifetime guarantee if I remember right.

However, those 2 are about twice the price of Electric Life which you can get through Jegs or Summit Racing.

The only issue with Electric life is you have to mod a kit for 70-72's. Once you modify it I believe you void the warranty?

I'm likely going with Electric Life myself.

UPDATE !!! I bought the Electric-Life kit and sent them back! It wasn't even close! I can modify things pretty well, but these required total re-engineering.

A call to their support people was next to useless. They called me back, was courteous, but no directions on HOW to modify and ....it was so far away from fitting and working I don't know why they even bother advertising it can be used on 69's "with modification" even!

I'm looking for other options.

My preference is to buy a used take-out set of the General's power windows. Just be sure that you study up and get all of the parts. They are relatively easy to install. The hardest part is to add the holes in the door shells and cowl posts for the rubber boot (conduit). The rest is a bolt in.

I'm wondering if I can adapt a power window motor onto the manual regulator with modifications? I'm going to check into this if I can.

There's a swap meet coming up next weekend so I may look for some original power windows there.

We'll see what I can come up with. I couldn't find a kit from the restoration houses that wasn't what I already know about and can get elsewhere.
