I got a good deal on an SS dash and gauge cluster for my '71 this past weekend. It is in pretty good shape and after researching TC I feel like I'm ready to paint the carrier and begin my dash restoration. My question is this:
Does anyone sell speedometer parts? I would like to replace the face plate (a little rust, some scratches, and the numbers are starting to fade) also I would like to replace the odometer. I've looked online and can't find anyone that sells speedometer parts. If I can find someone that sells these parts it would spare me the expense of replacing the whole speedometer.
Thanks for your help!

Kevin,
Contact:

This shop has been around for years, same ownership. It was a GM Authorized Service Center when there was such a thing. He repairs and calibrates mechanical speedometers and tachometers.
He does not do cosmetic restoration but does have the mechanical parts.
I have used him many time and have always been satisfied. Pretty quick and reasonable.

Thanks Verle,
I talked to Stephen today and he is sending me the part I need for my odometer. He didn't have a face plate for the speedometer. Perhaps I'll have to find a donor off of ebay.

I've looked at Ground-Up, OPGI, NPD, Year One, and three or four other vendors online and haven't found anything yet.
If you find reproductions, please let me know.

I just solved my problem. Ordered gauge overlays in white on black. Hope it turns out to look like stock.
