I have this nasty bench seat that came with the car. I don't remember the malibu having a fold-down arm rest in the middle. Is this out of another A-body car?

If it was an option... I am considering re upholstering it.

I can get a brand new bench from a place in Pomona, CA called Cerullo seats. They offer a full leather bench with arm rest and the additional reclining back rest. They want around 1200 for it. http://www.cerullo.com/streetRod/customBench.html

No...not a 74-77 seat. It definitely is not correct for 72 Malibu. I have never seen one with an arm rest. Perhaps from a Buick, or maybe a Pontiac.

I had one just like in in my 69 Malibu when I bought it. I have heard they were optional in 69, 70, but I do not know. I just know I had alot of people tell me at cruise-ins, they never seen that before. I am pretty sure it came in that Malibu, as I bought the car back in 85, from the original owner, though he did not know where the build sheet was.

Yeah, thought it might be out of some other GM A-body. I'll try to sell it for a couple of bucks.

My dad's '70 Chevelle had a bench seat with the center armrest. It was the correct pattern vinyl too.
