Hi Fellas,
Previous owner of my Chevelle had aftermarket guages hooked up/butchered the engine wiring harness (car has warning lights/not guage package)and instead of putting everything back together properly left bare wires exposed and wrapped them with harness tape. I have a repro harness and I'm ready to install it. Question: What size fitting /reducer goes in the block to accomodate the oil pressure sensor(warning light type)? If the sending unit adapts and comes out of the block at a 90deg angle,ie straight out from the block, will it hit the clutch crossarm?
Also, are any such brass adapters supposed to be painted chevy orange?
Thanks for your help MUCHO!!!

The only thing I can say for sure is that the brass wouldn't be painted... but I'm not sure of the mounting procedure, I checked my Aim and can only find the U14 gauge option schematic.
But I'm going to watch this thread ,as someday I plan on returning my car to the factory Idiot lights it came with.
Good luck;)

From looking at the AIM it looks like the bushing 444026 and the elbow 44052 are the same for both the lights Page 12 A3 and Page U14 A5. I bought a spare block and it had a bushing and a elbow still in the block, both brass. The elbow is not exactly like the one that www.oldmusclecars.com sells. You can just go to their site and plug in the number for the elbow and see what their's looks like. They don't offer a bushing, because I think it is very generic.

Thanks guys. I think I have the idea. And don't paint the brass right?
