Just got the new pan from summit yesterday and I have a question. On the old oil pan, the dipstick was just press fit into the pan. On this new Moroso pan, the hole that the dipstick goes in is treaded. I had puchased a replacement press fit dipstick awhile back, but it is to small to fit snug in the threaded hole. Does this pan require some kind of special dipstick? (Oh yeah, its a big block)

Yea i have a BBC with the Gen V oil pan and it does have the threaded dip stick, U can get one from Sallee Chevrolet (http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com) Its a pipe compression fitting with a dip stick. Moroso sells them and there about 12 bucks and come with everything u need.
