Try a search. There has been a lot of discussion on these. In a nutshell, the comments have been mixed. Quick Fuel is using them on their carbs. My carb guy thinks they are great.

I love my Pro Form! I dropped 2 tenths on nitrous and 4 tenths on motor. I have the double pumper version. I also bought one Pro Form metering plate. I use it in place of the rear metering plate. The front has an old Holley metering plate. The base is also off an old Holley. The bowls are new. It is kind of a Frankenstien carb, but it sure does work well!

I haven't tried it yet, waiting for the warm weather to go chokeless, but it sure looks like a quality piece. I got a pair of new HP metering blocks on there, 50cc pumps, with small cams, and used an old double pumper I got from a TC member as a donor. I'll be using it with the hotcam, ported heads and better headers, but I'll try it out before doing those changes.

Where did you get the hp metering blocks, and how much did you pay for them? Thanks,

I got the blocks off of ebay for 60 bucks, + 10 for shipping. Came with gaskets, jets, Power valves, vent whistles, and jet extensions. I probably paid too much, but I didn't want purple proform blocks.

not to hijack this thread......but i was interested in getting a proform body as well for my 3310-2 holley....i converted the rear to a metering block so i could run jets........

i was wondering if they would (center body) give me better performance over my modified body i have now(i cut the choke horn off and radiased the entry way and knocked down some of the casting flash around the boosters and used different screws on the butterflys that didnt stick out)

i'm also in the need for a new base plate since my throttle shafts are worn out (they have alittle to much slop for my likings) wondering where i could get one of those.

im not interested in that purple color (what the heck was they thinking).

Proform offered a baseplate a few months ago, but I haven't seen it since. It's ok, it was purple. You can get your baseplate bushed at a machine shop to tighten it up if you can't find one. I don't know how much gain you will see, being you already have a 750 without a choke horn. The Proform does have downleg boosters, and adjustable air bleeds, but I'd imagine you'd be better off just getting a K&N stubstak. I wrote to Proform to let them know that purple wasn't exactly the most desired engine component color, and if they offered parts in traditional colors I'd consider them. They never responded. I guess if they get a lot of complaints or requests, they'll listen.

The billit metering plates are excellent! I plan on getting another one for the front of my carb. The quality is exceptional compared to the Holley standard metering plates. They sell new for about $60.00. As far as the purple color, I think it looks really cool! Sure does impress the fans at the track when you open the hood. By the way, I have a bright yellow El Camino with black stripes, stickers, and a crushed velvet interior, so I may not be the best person to comment on colors, lol. I planned on changing the crushed velvet interior 4 years ago when I bought the car, but I keep spending all my extra funds on go fast parts. At this rate it will probably be in there for life, lol.
