Cannot get horn button to blow horn on my optional 4-spoke sport wheel. The horn pin and spring were missing. Installed new collar, pin and spring. When I depress pin with my finger and jump ground from any metal on the wheel hub to the pin, the horn sounds. When I put everything back together (flat shim, cup with 3 screws thru plastic insulator) horn will not sound. ANY part individually I can ground to pin and horn will sound, but when assembled it acts as though it doesn't have a ground. I'm ready to give up. The assembly manual and parts catalogs have terrible "cartoon" pictures that don't help.

Well, I finally figured it out, with the help of a nice picture I made from my Parts Catalog CD. The kit said for '69 and up cars to trim to 3/4" which I did. However it did not state the order it was supposed to be installed. The Parts Catalog picture helped me get the correct order of assembly and it works perfectly.
