Hi, could someone please direct me to the correct shift lever that connects to the transmission. This would be the lever that is attached to the shift mechanism on the transmission and allows the cable to be connected to it to be able to put it into gear. I believe that it is just called a transmission shift lever. I have a Farmer _ _ _ _ _ bracket on there, it works, but I would like to have one that is suppose to be on there.

Should still be available from GM or for sure all the reproduction parts catalogs have what you are after. Assuming yours is a floor shift since you mentioned cable you can look at OPG p/n 87A0420 bracket that mounts to the transmission. The cable attaching part is 87A0054.
