I'm building a garage which I'd like to put a above ground lift in. It will be used to lift my 70 SS 396 and a few other car's weighing under 5500lbs. Any suggestion's? Thank's, Narti

I saw the Snap-On guys demoing a portable lift at a recent show. It looked pretty neat, and ran off 110v, although it only got the car off the ground about 4-5 feet Price was somewhere around $2500.

Check the back of car mags, seen one advertised for about $3,500. Maybe even look for an automotive shop thats closing. Ok so now I'm jelouse you have a garage with a lift! couldn't you keep it to yourself show off! nothing personal.

I worked at a transmission shop that used Eagle asymtrical 2 post lifts, they're awesome! When it comes time to get a lift, that's the kind I plann on getting. They're around $3000-$5000, depending on the load capacity.
