I need to remove some old nasty window tint. The interior is out of the car so I can use chemicals. Does anyone know of something I can spray on that will just disolve this crap without a bunch of scraping?

I have used a product like windex and a razor blade and it comes off pretty well.... just use lots of window cleaner to keep from scratching the glass - I do not know of any 'spray on - wipe off' products for the tint.

we just got done with the same thing. we have windows out right now so it was a little easier to do. we ended up scraping off most of it. ours ahd a plastic layer we peeled off to start. If we were lucky some or most would come off with the plastic.
we used a razor scraper and if took the 2 of us about 1 1/2 hours to do the side and back windows. that includes cleaning the outside because the person we bought the car from used black cans and painted the outside and didn't use anything for overspray. use paint thinner to help get the sticky residue of the glass.

make sure when using a razor blade to dull the corners by rubbing on some 400 G paper & use a blade holder, a cheap one really helps from gouging the glass. body shop supply places sell 3M adhesive remover, rub glass w/ paper towel soaked w/ remover after getting tint off. a blow dryer helps losen tint too. my kid got popped for too dark of tint and i took it off and had the ticket dropped, showed the judge pics.

Cover the tinted side of the window with wet newspaper for about 15 minutes. It softens it up and it comes right off.

I recently did a pick up truck and it was going no where fast.....So I stopped by the local tint shop and asked for advice. The advised me to spray it with ammonia and let it soak then peel it off. Worked like a charm

If it is bubbled up then wet with soap and water and scrape the tint off. You can try peeling the tint off but in my 14 years experience with it it usually just comes off in slivers IF it is bubbled. If it is not bubbled up wet the tint with soap and water cut a black trash bag and put it on the tint then wet the trash bag and set it in the sun spraying the bag with more soap and water about every 15 minutes for an hour. this will heat up the glass and glue most times you can pull the tint off slowly and most of the glue will come off with it. A brillo pad will also cut the rest of the glue off after the tint is removed and this is the way I have to do it on windows with defrosters in it. I have also used a steamer with good results. As stated before be sure to use plenty of soap and water when scraping the glass with a razor blade or it may scratch, found this out the hard way. There really is no easy way to do it.
