What kind of sealer do you guys like to use on the floorpan plugs?
I'm referring to the metal dished plugs. There are 4 in the interior and 2 in the trunk. Working on a 69.

On my 66, I used brushable seam sealer to glue the plugs down. I put enough on the floor around the hole so that when I pressed it in place, the sealer squished up a bit around the edges of the plug just like the originals. Make sure the seam sealer is paintable.

thanks Ken
that's exactly what I had in mind.
I recently resealed the cowl on this same car and need to do the cowl on my 69 sta wag. This should work out good. I haven't figured out how to save any remainder. Seems once you open one of these tubes, if you don't use it all, it hardens up in the tube over time.

The stuff holding the plugs down was the same material they used to seal the seams on my 69
