My friend just picked up a 08101 solid lift street master cam. Its 282/298 248/259@.05 .528/.534 lift 106 ls/ 102 icl. He has a 350 with 2.02 valve S/R torquer heads(stock) and Victor jr. intake. The engine will be going in a race only s10 truck with a power glide. What compression ratio, icl, stall speed and gear do you recommend for 1/8 mile?

Marty,

Your Lunati StreetMaster is ground on 106 LSA and 102 ICL, so just put it in 'Dot-to-Dot' and it should be on 102 ICL.
I assume as a 'race-only' truck, you will be using race gas, so I would run at least 11:1 CR with that cam.
I would use about a 4000 SS converter and at least a 4.56 rear gear.
This should put you into the ball-park.....

I don't know if he wants to spend the money on race gas and from what piston he says he wants, he'll have about 10.5:1. I must be getting good, I guessed 4000 stall and a 4.56 gear too. :D Thanks
