Im building a 461 w/049 heads. The heads are done w/stock size undercut ss valves and springs set for 550-600 lift. How much HP and torque can be made from these heads and displacement?

I made 500+ HP with my 049s on a 454 Mk IV motor with 2.19s / 1.88s and the usual stuff required for that level of power. Measured on a dyno, corrected to STP.
The Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (amount of fuel used in pounds compared to amount of power produced) was noticeably lower than the square ports we also dyno'd on the same day, same motor. At almost five bux a gallon, that's something to think about.

They are pretty nice heads, all things considered, and the price is usually right compared to new aluminum castings.
