Just got home from CB-08. A few of the towns around me are being evacuated becasue of what they are calling the 100 year flood. The road we came in on had water at theedge of it and the river is raising 1 foot an hour. Predictions are 13 feet over flood stage.

As for CB-08 it was a BLAST:thumbsup:. Any one who has not made it should go to the next one. This was our first one and for sure won't be the last. I hope to post a blog of our trip later when we get settled in.

Yes we experienced the flood first hand on our way back Saturday. The highway was shut down and we took 31 North and ended up in an area of Columbus that was flooding while we were trying to find a way out. We got away from the river and still more water. Manhole covers coming out of their holes, deep water, ect. With a few lucky turns and the help of some other motorists we finally detoured far enough around the flood to continue on our way.

My 2nd CB, enjoyed it much more this time than last year. Spent several days with my son Zach, time we both needed. It's hard to find something to have in common with your son sometimes, but I think cars could be the ticket for us. Its one subject he actually comes to me for answers! I let him drive the Elky some around Goodlettsville and for several hours on our trip home. That put a big smile on his face. He usually is in a hurry to get home to his girlfriend, but suggested we stop last night and get a hotel.

He might go back to his old self, but I am happy that we had this chance to take a break from our lives and just enjoy people, cars and time together.

Thanks

Brian

P.S. You and your neighbors will be added to my prayers. Peace be with you!

Woah! bring out the sand bags.
With the warning, hopefully people will listen (this time).
