Could someone tell me the measurement of a stock 8.2 axel?I'm going to swap axels to Mosers and realy don't want the car to sit at the garage taking up space while the new ones come in.
Thanx for any help.

call them, they have alot of the specs on hand.
I assume you are talking about an 8.2" in a 66 Chevelle?? The lengths differ for Chevelle vs Nova vs GTO,.....If so, then 29.5" should do it. But like my uncle the carpenter would always say, "Measure twice, cut once".

Just looked at your link to your Chevelle pic. Is that air I see under the front tire? Not to come off sounding like a ***** , but how did you do that with a 12.5 timeslip? I run about where you do (low-mid 12's) and I don't think I yank the front wheels at all. Nice looking 66 by the way. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Thanx again Jim.I really don't do anything special
I have new springs in the front(moog)the shocks are Monroe,However, they are for a 67,and not a 66,the difference is the extended size of the shock. It does not extend as far as the ones for a 66.However it does not affect the ride at all.In the back I run SSM's,Hotchkis uppers.Again, Monroe shocks(for a 66)My pinion angle is set @ 6deg neg.DR/275-60/15's with 18psi.All that said the car DOES HOOK HARD :D Stab and Steer.thats my methods, and you didn't come off like a ****** graemlins/beers.gif

I see you are from south Jersey. What track do you run at? Hard to tell from that picture, but it isn't E-town. Looks like Atco with that wall in front of the grandstands.
