Anyone have good luck with CPP disc swaps, I am looking at the 6472SWBK-D12-UG kit: 12" drilled/slotted rotor w/ 2" drop spindles, and all hardeware for $429 preorder. Is this a good deal or should I look elsewhere?

I think its a great deal,I put that kit on my 66 chevelle and my 68 el camino.
Neither has power brakes and they work fantastic.
However make sure you take them apart and paint the spindal.
My 66 was cleared already so i assumed my new ones were to now i after the first wash they have surface rust.and i have to take them back off to paint..http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/2004/1002259oj3.jpghttp://img338.imageshack.us/img338/3859/1000279xg8.jpg

Dear Andy

I put the Big Brake Kit 6872 FRBK-BB with drop spindles in my 68ŽEl Camino a couple of weeks ago. I am very satisfied with them. Everything was "Plug and Play". Great Deal.

I have a set on my '72 and they were easy to install but I up-graded the Chinese wheel bearings to Timken's.

72 Skunk made a very important point.
Chinese metal chemistry is inferior and I would never, ever, use Chinese parts in a safety situation, such as wheel bearings or steering parts.

Never.

CPP's showroom is very impressive to see. They offer a lot of parts, and the people there seem to be pretty knowledgeable.

Right now I'm running their MC-PV-1 master that has the adjustable proportioning valve built in to the cylinder itself, along with a pressure limiter, making double adjustable rear hydraulics. It is a very nice looking piece, and works quite well.

I just today sold a complete CPP disc conversion kit (with 4,000 miles on it) at the Long Beach High Performance Swap Meet for $300. It had been on my '66 Elco. I included Wilwood Polymatrix pads and a new Corvette master.

Does anyone have any suggestions on other kits? I would like 12" Front, 11" rear and not to "brake" the bank, I.E. complete kit under 1.5K.
I am looking for:
-Complete front/rear swap kit
-12" front/11" rear drilled and slotted rotors
-2" drop spindles
-Braided hoses
-Dual disc M/C
-Prop valve
-Don't need booster, but wouldn't mind a new one.
-As many of the brake lines I can get with the kit.

-Also, do the 12" front rotors really help stopping over stock 11"?
