My '71 SS has the F41 suspension...not sure if that matters for this. But, I'm going from an SBC to BBC swap. The heads and intake are aluminum. I have factory AC and I will continue to use it after the swap. So, I would guess I would still need different coils in the front, even with the amount of aluminum I have. How do I do about choosing this? Or would the best thing to do be contact someone like Moog? Thanks.

I would put the engine in first and see how it sits. If you have springs from an AC equipped small block car and you like the low look, it may be okay.
The front height will be a little lower, but no lower than if you were sitting on the front of the car.

Thanks. I kind of wanted to try it first.
Does the engine have to be lifted to change the front coils? I'm having a hard time picturing my engine bay right now and am really just not sure if you have to remove it or not. If not, then that could work out pretty good to adjust it later. Thanks.

Taylor,
You want to change front coils with the engine IN the car! You need the engine weight to compress the springs. MOST everyone on the planet changes springs by using a spring compressor. I don't use one. When you get it all put together and decide if you want to change the springs, I can stop by and show you how to do it.
