CAN you run your hei with out the vac. adv.
or is this a bad thing??? ;)

Absolutely, but you'll most likely get better milage and part throttle response with. Check and make sure its manifold vacuum and not ported. If it's ported you might have to check your timing, and make sure you're getting enough total advance. If its manifold vac, which it probably is, the advance isn't coming in under WOT anyway.

I don't run vacuum advance with my HEI..its all in the curve (20* base/38* total)
I get 12-13 mpg with my big block too.Stock vacuum advance cans have as much as 20* built into them.

YES/NO :confused: IF YOU DON'T USE IT IS THERE ANYTHING YOU MUST DO TO YOUR HEI DISTRB. :confused:

should say it's 'best' to use it...but you don't 'have' too...you do loose some gas mileage....use a rubber carb plug and plug it off...
