I finally got to the mustang dyno and it made far more HP then expected. rwhp peak was 798 and from 3500RPM thru 6500 it was above 770. Very flat HP curve. Peak torque was 1069 at 3600RPM. I wanted a mild and realiable low RPM motor and it turned out great!

I'm worried that the converter is far tighter then expected. It's supposed to be 5200 from ATI. I havent got on the T-brake yet to see where it really stalls too.

The car weighs less then 2400 with driver, this should make a fun ride for my wife!

Next time I'm not going to worry about cranking compression as it ran pretyy good.

daveseitz - this is going in to my wifes car not the chevelle :-(

DragRacer - The heads are Brodix M2 BB-2X CNC heads, holley commander 950, 2000cfm throttle body, 65# injectors, the intake is what comes with the holley kit. I spent a great deal of time getting them ported and gasket matched. 13:1 compression

I was looking for at least 650 and hoped for 700, now if it's realiable then I've met my goals.

Funny thing is I'm not going to drive it... I have no desire to go that fast! It sounded awsome on the dyno, the exhaust would thump your chest!

How big is the cam in it?

The cam was bigger then I would have picked but it appears that the guys at comp cams did a good job. It's 284/296 @.050, 112LS and I installed it 4 degrees advanced. Idles at 950RPM and is VERY responsive, I guess the big stroke and small heads really help out there.

I do have video of the dyno but I'm telling you there is no way to duplicate the true sound! I will convert it and post it.
