The thing that looks like a coffee can that mounts on the side of the AC box under the hood is missing on my '69. What does it do and do you really need it?

: Coffee can that mounts on the side of the AC box monte7ocar Jun 5th, 08, 4:27 PM the one that was on my monte was used to hold vacuum from the motor and then it had a hose that ran in the car for the control panel. the can should have two different size hose coming off of it.
