I've read thru all the threads covering epoxy and tiles and the chance of me screwing up the prep for epoxy is too great. I've had 2 professional companies give me pricing from 3.25 to 3.75 sq foot and that's the price of Race Deck or equivalent. I can't use acid wash to prep because I have asphalt that slopes downhill from garage. I found company that will diamond grind for $1500.00, then 800.00 to 1000.00 for materials and I'm getting close to tile cost. Has anybody tried tiles from Floorjunkies? They look similar to Home Depot tiles and Race Deck, but cost is 2.00 each and with 1200 sq foot to cover I'm leaning towards tiles that I can put down in a day and replace individual tiles if needed or pull up if we move. Is the "name" brand worth the dollar difference? I can handle sweeping the floor for tile prep.

I don't know much other than epoxy floors are REALLY nice, and I need mine ground too, but there was this guy down the street from me when I was growing up that had astro turf in his garage. Every day before he put the car away he would wash it.

Thanks for the replies! Astro Turf?!! I don't need another option to look at. I think I've convienced myself to go with Floorjunkies tiles. I built the shop 15 years ago and moved the cars in. Now everything is coming out to sheetrock, paint and do floor covering.
