I looked for threads on this and didn't find what I need. Wer'e redoing the interior and I need to cover new sail panels. anybody have any tips on this subject? I bought new panels and headliner and don't want to mess up like have the fabric run the wrong way.

I tried to align the grain top to bottom, matching the direction it comes from the headliner itself. I'm only guessing this is the direction it is supposed to go, I really didn't know either when I did them.

As far as covering them, I used wilwood contact cement about 2" around the border of the board front and back, and matched that on the material. Let it dry for 10 minutes. Laid the board on top of the fabric cutout, worked out any slack, then worked the sides onto the back of the board. They turned out good, but then again, I don't know if the way I did it was completely correct.
