Has anybody run one of the classic industries repoduction cowl air cleaner on a B/B w/hei, they say it won't fit, I'm running a performer rpm intake and wondering if anybody worked this out.

When they say the HEI's won't fit, I believe they are only referring to when you use an original or low-rise intake manifold. When you use a manifold like the Performer you should not need to worry about it. Basically, if you don't need that 2" spacer for the cowl to seal, you don't have to worry about an HEI. I've got a Weiand stealth and have an HEI with cowl air cleaner - fits fine.

I'm running the performer manifold with MSD pro billet HEI distibutor (which is 1.5" higher that stock HEI)with no fit problems.
