Seems all of a sudden my battery has been going dead after a couple of days--absolutley no power. I put a test light between the battery positve and the positve cable and I get a low light. I pulled all the fuses one by one and the light stays on. Also when I put the test light between the negaive post and cable the light comes on. I dont quite understand that other than a gound may have shorted out on a positve wire. Its a 79 Camaro with somewhat of a rats nest of wires unner the dash. Any help sorting this out would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Could also be your alternator. When using the test light, pull the 2 small wires off the alternator, see if light goes out.

Thanks Greg

Pulled the wires and light is out. Does this mean I need a new alternator. Its maybe 3 months old, made by Champion.
