Looking to install AC in my 69 Chevelle that did not come with it. I understand that the glove box needs to be replaced. Where can I get this? Thanks

I think you are talking about the suit case that goes on the engine side of the firewall on the passenger side of the car. You will also need a new glove box liner for a AC car since your car is a non AC car now.
Check out the http://www.chevelles.com/classifieds/
their is some AC stuff in their for sale.

When I got mine at NPD they have 2 different types AC and Non/AC so they should have it.

'69 AC cars don't really have a traditional glove box that's attached to the dash like the non-AC cars. It's a plastic bin that's attached to the backside of the glove box door. I don't think anyone reproduces them.

I'm thinking you're right.
Trying to remember and now that I think about it I probably got mine from one of the cars I parted out back then.

I got one off ebay a couple years ago. I think I still have the old one but it has a crack in it. It will still work though. pm me and you can have it.

Correct
and it should be noted that the 1969 AC glove box consists of 2 pieces !
In the upper right hand corner of the glove box opening there should be a small triangular shaped board bent to 90 degrees that is felt lined.
not reproduced and getting tough to find.

I didn't know that these were 2 pieces. I thought they just screwed to the glove box cover. here's a pic of what I thought is an ac glove box liner.

looked in the assembly manual and see what you are saying. they call it a shield. mine doesn't have it. what is it supposed to do?
