What do you guys think would be an adequate fuel pump for a radical 496?
Has rect. port head, 1000cfm demon,
502B3Lun cam 310/318, 276/284, .710/.710, 108 LSA
...
What pressure and GPH requirements do you guys think this needs?
Would the Aeromotive street rod pump and matching regulator feed this?
Thanks!

Same here, my 496 isn't quite that radical either, 11:1, large oval port, 950HP, Vic Jr, Solid UD 288/296 .613/.630 255/263@.050, I'm running the Carter 172 GPH pump also, does great. I believe mc71454 was running it on his 540 also, I think he might be in the process of changing though. If you want a low maintenance pump this Carter is great, I've got a sumped factory tank and -10 line all the way to the pump, and -8 line into a -8 fuel log. Hope that helps.

Let's see, he did say electric pump. Answer, yes the Aeromotive pump will keep up. I am also running a 496 (merlin 310 rect., 248@50, 660 lift) and spraying all on pump gas and using the aeromotive street rod pump to supply it all. Good luck,

I don't know what size fuel line you have but think about going to 1/2in. You have built a pretty substantial engine that is going to need a fuel system to match.

Thanks for the help.

I was wondering if I would need to upgrade my entire fuel line for this motor. I guess I had better. graemlins/sad.gif
Also would I need to get a regulator with a return? Or just a typical regulator?
