So I have a 69 Chevelle ss 396 that I removed the body from the frame so I could inspect the top of the frame. While the body was off Ialso replaced the fuel and brake lines with stainless that was bought from Ground Up. I also replaced the Ford 9 inch with a 12 bolt non posi out of a 72 Monte Carlo that I found in a salvage yard in PA. I was going to reinstall the body yesterday when I found that the body mount kit I bought from Ground Up only came with 2 spacers and mine uses 4 spacers :(. Anyone else had this problem? Calling Ground Up tomorrow.

I went through this when setting my 69 body back on. I was told (by Ground Up Tech.) that the coupe only used a spacer in the hole at the center of the door. The ones in the upper cross member were only used on the wagons and Caminos. But they were sometimes installed on coupes at the factory but were not called for.

I installed my body without the cross member spacers.

After asking here, A member sent me this.

http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/data/500/BODY_MOUNT_BUSHINGS1.jpg Thanks Scott, I have the assembly manual but didn't look at it because I remembered where the mounts came from. If you've had no problems then I'll do it too. :hurray:
