I'm sure this has been gone over before. For a Small Block, can I get specs on a t-adapter for the oil pressure port? Next to the distributor is a 1/8"x27 NPT. I want to run the Autometer 15psi idiot switch because the stocker goes on too late:

As well as the electric oil pressure sender:

I can get pipe in 1/2" increments at the hardware store as well as the t-junction. How long of a pipe should I get to clear a stock or Pertronix distributor? Will it work well?

i think i've used a 3/4" long or so piece of pipe that is threaded on each end, and a regular brass "T" fitting on top of that.

If you want to buy it, you can get a kit from SunPro that is just exactly what you're looking for for $5.99. The nipple is about 1-1/2" long.

I run a copper tubing with compression fittings(like the ones that come with the autometer mech. gauges) and run it into one side of a tee mounted on the firewall. I then run a idiot lite switch on one end and the last part of the tee goes to the gauge. IMO, it keeps it out of the way.

Summit carries it too. Nothing special about it. Try a local automotive or hardware store. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=SUN%2DCP7556&N=700+115&autoview=sku (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUN%2DCP7556&N=700+115&autoview=sku)

A simple 1/8 NPT tee and a nipple will do the job.

Yes, I know the parts, was just wondering what length pipe works best without distributor problems. Looking around, Speedway has these NPT/AN adapters, but not what I am looking for.

BTW: What thread sealant works best to retain the pressure switch grounding?
