Hi. My name is Ken, I have a '68 GTO convertible which is in the 'freshening' stage.

The car is essentially stock, except for the 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust, Ram Air exhaust manifolds and ignition. The car is a cruiser, not really a hot rod or show car.

I've had it for 13 years and am in the process of upgrading the brakes and suspension. I'm gonna freshen the heads and put in a new cam and related valve train stuff as long as I'm at it. I cooked the posi a while back, so I'm gonna get a new Eaton and change the gear set while it's apart. It's got 3.23s now, looking for 3.36s, will probably get 3.55s. It's an 8.2" BOP rear.

I've been following the Howe tall ball joint thread and the disc brake conversion stuff. Been reading the suspension threads as well. Lots of good info in all, which is making my choices harder. At least I hope to be well informed.

Here's a few pics of the GTO............

I've got some '69 Chevelle parts up in the attic from cars my sister's owned. Fender fiber optics and radios mostly. I'll see what I got and post it in the appropriate forum.

Anyway, hope to learn more from you 'A-body' guys!
