If your missing, broke, the anti-rattle spring that clips on the inside pad, and goes into the piston, ( my GW parts guy calls it a cricket), you can pick them up from Raybestos Part no. H5404. They come 4 to a box, 89 cents each.

Your parts guy was wrong, the cricket is the little metal piece that is riveted to the pad to make a chirping sound when the pads get worn thin to prevent you from chewing up a rotor.

chev64, NO, your wrong. That is a low pad senser. These are springs that clip on the top and bottom (center, back side) of the inside pad and the cricket leg goes inside the piston cup. What your talking about is riveted to the outside pad. Look again.

The part you are referring to is a anti-rattle clip and it simply holds the shoe tight on the piston. The "cricket" that is riveted to the shoe chirps like a cricket when the pads are worn low and need to be replaced.
