The letter "I" is a Capital Letter no matter where you use it in a sentence.

Patrick : thanx for the help with this tough topic. Now armed with this knowledge, I (me) can go out to the garage and fondle my Chevelle. Best Regards

c - a - p - t - a - l are also "Capital" letters since they are in the word "Capital"

G - R - E - E - K are all "greek" letters too ya know.

OK Patrick - what one word in the english language has 3 sets of double letters on a row like; xxddll

To David Birdwell, I have always though that there should be a apostrophe between the I and the M, but my spellcheck says no and always capitalizes it (IM) no matter where it is used in a sentence. Sounds like you passed 101.

Patrick,

O.K., I mentioned nothing about the number 1 (one).

So, do you mean the letter "I"?
Or do you mean the pronoun "I"?

And what the Hell brought this on?

One instance where the letter "I" is not capitalized....when the abbreviation "i.e." is used in place of "that is".
Example: Chevelle Tech is to be used as a forum for discussing Chevelle related items, i.e. where can one find such and such part for my 72 Chevelle, or is anyone planning on attending Chevellabration this year?.

BTW......."I'm" is the contraction for "I am".....thus the apostrophe-small "m".

Dave and Shannon,

If I can toss some of my accumulated Chevelle wisdom in here:

i.e. is short for "that is"
e.g. is short for "for example"

Hope that helps. Good luck with your cars!
