i've been saying this for years, but i just get blown off. several of the car mags now a days, have a monthy section where they highlight several collections. i don't blame these guys, i would do the same thing if i had the $, but i do think it's the reason prices have stayed fairly solid.

it's funny, but if you ever watch the movie "waterworld" with kevin costner, there is a fight to the death over a small piece of paper (not really, but it's kind of the way the fight comes to fruition, a piece of paper, and a woman), and you wonder in say 100 years or so, will guys be fighting over a 57 chevy taillight, or a chevelle console?

What a sick collection, that lucky bastard...............I especially like the black 66 GTO convertible on the lift with the red plastic inner fender liners. Reminds me of my planned 66 LeMans/GTO clone from back in the day. 64elkynss

Musclecar Enthusiast has been having a Rick Treworgy car in every issue for the last several issues. Looking at that collection, he could keep the magazine going for a while!

Yeah... thats a lot of cars. kind of amature compared to this guy's collection though... ;)

http://www.lemaymuseum.org/page.php?id=65

I was able to get in on one of the yearly tours a few years back... absolutly amazing.
He died a year or so ago, and left it all to his foundation, and They are supposed to be building a new museum to hold about 1/2 the collection at a time, and will rotate it through (about 1000 cars will be on display at a time)

Currently the collection is on display in & around an old private boys school that he bought years ago... All the class rooms, the gym, etc etc are filled with the cars & memorabilia. There was a kaiser convertible on display in the boys locker room!

if you are around seattle in august when they do the yearly open house- try and make it, its awesome!

Yeah, and wouldn't it be nice if they branched out into a few cars from somewhere else? I'm sick of seeing the same cars run through all the magazines month after month. I'd also like to see some of the excellently restored cars done by the average joe. I'd also like to see an excellently restored '66 SS396 with the 325hp engine than yet another "super rare!" L78 car I've already seen 15 times. The next time I see another rare Hemi or Boss 429 or L78 car in that magazine will be too soon. How about a few articles on the cars we mere mortals owned and drove/drive?

Is that a blue '69 ZL-1 Corvette? Didn't they only make TWO of them?

As I understood it only two were made, one was white and one was yellow. I'm not sure how that history and the car that was pictured fit together.
