: another 65 ss chevelle lover

I'm 58, work for the Dept of Corrections in Illinois.Married to a gal who has been a Chevy ASE Master Certified Tech for nearly 30 years!The gal has more tools than I do! As a younger man I have owned three 65 chevelles and loved each one.About three years ago I bought another one off E-Bay. Right now the body is off the frame. We have replaced the floors, firewalls, outer wheelwells, both quarter panels, the panel between the rear window and the trunk.We are doing a mini-tub so the inner wheelwells and trunk are getting replaced as well. We have kits for 4 wheel disc brakes. The car was and will remain Regal Red with a black interior, Cragar SS on Mickey Thompsons, narrowed 9 inch Ford..and a four speed with a big block...this is very "old-school." Since I've had 3 of these before I pretty much had my mind made up to keep the old school/stock look of the 60s but with some behind the scenes modern updates.We'll send some photos in my next letter.:hurray:

eyewanta65 May 29th, 08, 5:26 PM Regal Red, can't mess with that. Got to do it that way for sure. I bought mine in primer. I didn't know the original color when I bought it. I was going to paint it artesian turqouise. When I decoded it and found it was originaly a regal red, with red interior I had to do it to original colors.:yes:
