my 68 ran 17.95@74.50mph. it was VERY consistent and I actually went quite a few rounds with 3 opponents in a row red lighting against me :D

it was WAY too embarassing to put your dial-in on the window redface.gif had to change it..........

My bone stock 307 with headers tuned to Motor Manual specs, th350 and a 3.55 posi with 26" tires ran mid 16's in the heat. With a glide and a 3.31? gear, you would be lucky to make it in the 17's. The glide is the biggest draw back.

wow your guys 307's suck lol my 71 307 th350 has the basic bolt on, headers, qjet, intake, i also ahve a shift kit and 3.23 rear. i ran a 15.8 in the 1/4 with a crappy 1.2 r/t time and a qjet that isnt opening all the way.. i figure i can run low 15s with this setup but im going to swap out the stall for a 2400 and put the biggest cam i can in this car for the " why the hell not" effect.

the question was "what will a STOCK 307/pg run"? NOT what will a 307/t350 with bolt-ons run?

my 307/pg times were run with the 2 barrel,3.08 gears, points distributor, air cleaner in place, stock single exhaust,in other words STOCK!!

My 68 had a 307 glide and 3.08 gear with headers and a performer with a holley 750 it ran 15.7@90mph. Then with a t-350 with an 11inch holeshot and tires it went 14.9's@88mph. With a 3575lb weight and 88mph it was making in the 240-250hp range, about right for a 200hp motor with an intake and headers added.

My stock 307 69 went mid to high 17's. Then I decided to swap out the cam for a solid 30/30 cam graemlins/clonk.gif The things you do when your 16 tongue.gif The car now ran high 18's (a total dogg) :( Next I tried mini fueler heads, performer intake, 600 vac. holley, th400 with 2200 conv. a 12bolt with 3:31 gears and took the solid cam out and installed a cam out of a 305 graemlins/thumbsup.gif I think my best time was 15.04. I cound not get it into the 14 sec range for my life and money that I had. Guess you have to learn one way or the other. :D

My '71 with 307/350th and 2.76 rear ran a best of 16.70. I do beleive better gearing would put her in the low 16's.

68 el camino my friend had, 307/2bbl, th350, and 3.08 gears open diff. Ran a 16.7 it was very tired. An intake, edelbrock 600 cfm carb, headers, 3.73 gears, posi, got it to 15.7 last time out. He has a 383 in the garage though that is being built.
