I would love to have one of these some day. I look on Ebay once in awhile for them and have never seen them go this high.

Wow, I have one of those that came from Falmouth, KY. A friend gave it to me. You're right the info has been reprinted elsewhere but what about the paint chips and fabric samples? What about the cool options section? I wouldn't give a grand for one though.

I got mine back in the 70s when they were throwing the stuff away. It is a good resource. Although some of the stuff is not correct due to the date it was originally written. It is fun to display stuff like that at certain types of shows.

I can't believe that dealer book is going for that much. I got one for $40 a couple years ago.

Generally there was only one dealer album per dealer. They were not common like brochures. I have seen them go for $175 - $250.

I remember a neat dealer album at Bill Buck Chevrolet in Florida back in 1975. There was an overlay of a '75 Caprice Classic sedan done in clear vinyl, under which you could fold in paint samples from one side and also vinyl roof colors or secondary paint colors from the opposite side. It worked mint! Hmm, I guess I get excited easily...

You are right about many of the pictures being the same ones that are already out there, but the dealer album was a one-stop for all models and with complete specs, paint and trim. They would go into availability in more detail than a brochure typically would. They are interesting and fairly scarce. Really though, a grand?

I've been collecting car brochures for just about 40 years myself.

I have two of them. One in mint condition along with another one in good condition. I have quite a few of the 70's promotional items. I picked up a paint chip brochure a few years back for under $10. Have some "On the Move" napkins, and other unique items.

I would love to find one for a 71, but those prices are insane. I would pay $100 for one, some of this stuff has gotten out of hand

Shawn,
Watch eBay for the 71 version. I have purchased a couple of 71 dealer albums off of eBay for much less than $100 so if you're patient you will get one.
