In regards to my car,I'm running the Performer 2-0 on my 454..I have a 1" 4 hole and a 1" open spacer laying around..any input on what might be worthwhile to use?

My engine builder said use the open on my 462. Said the 4 hole might add a little torque/no HP, but the open would add a little torque and around 10-12 HP on my combo. His .02 cents worth, I'm gonna try it.

Chris, the two 1" spacers are a bit much, but i think you may find some ET in a 1/2" 4 hole on top of a 1/2" open spacer.

My opinion is, do not try any unless you have them at the track to do some testing. I personally do not have any solid evidence (like a dyno) to tell me which spacer "should" work...even if I think the plenum is too small or whatever.

The only spacers I know that really work well are the ones with spray bars for nitrous graemlins/hurray.gif

Brian,I would try one or the other..not both smile.gif (unless they where both 1/2" as you mentioned)
I'll probably try the 1" open first, seeing that since I don't have an RPM intake, the 1" open might help..I know the RPM has the notch in the divider,so the the open spacer on the Performer might somewhat simulate that.Thats my logic at this point :D

I was always under the impression that an open spacer helped more with a dual plane intake, while a 4-hole helped more when using a single plane intake.

I use a 2" open spacer and love it.
