hay i was just looking around through the paper and i found a 98 ls1 with t56 and rear end from a camaro for $6000 canadian. i was wondering if the rear end would fit in to the 69 chevelle if not what mods would be needed. the assembly comes with wiring and all other parts computer cluch, monts ex.

and is this a good buy?

Thats 4500 U.S I think it's a good deal. The rear end is useless to you however.

what makes the rear end useless?

thats only a 7 5/8 ring gear not a very strong rear.the only reason they last in the f body is they have no traction,however put some slicks and some mild suspension work,back there and after a couple of really good launches i feel you'll be picking up pieces.
wish i could have a six speed,them 4:11's wouldnt be so much of a pain in my rear anymore
